CLR is "Centre Line Radius" it is the radius that the bend is bent to. A 76mm CLR is the distance from the centre of the circle to the centre of the tube. For a U Bend or 180 degree bend the CLR x 2 is the distance between the centre of each leg.

Why are some measurements in Metric and some in Imperial

Good Question. All Tube is measured by its OD (Outside Diameter) and is manufactured in Imperial Sizes (2", 3" etc) EXCEPT wall thickness is in millimetres (1.6mm / 2.0mm etc)

Since we live in a metric world we convert the Imperial sizes to metric and sometimes we call 3" 76mm for easy rather than saying 76.2mm (and the same for other sizes).

Here is a chart that converts inches to millimetres
